Ashley Cartledge Emerging Dance Educator's Award
The North Carolina Dance Educators Organization (NCDEO) introduces the Ashley Cartledge Emerging Dance Educator's Scholarship in honor of a beloved educator, Ashley Cartledge, who exemplified leadership, inclusivity, and a passion for diversity in dance education. This scholarship aims to support high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing a degree in dance education who demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and diverse environment in the field of dance.

"Dance education has always been a significant part of my life. Receiving this scholarship means a great deal to me! It inspires me to continue to advocate for dance in the classroom while adding to my passion of seeing students thrive through this incredible art form. As a rising dance education student at UNC charlotte, this scholarship will help reduce financial stress and allow me to focus, whole-heartedly, on preparing for my student teaching semester."
